REQUALIFICATION PLAN FOR THE AREA OF TAP SEAC

Tap Seac area is classified as immovable property (historical architecture)and in the Sites category in Macau. The project is about the rehabilitation and pedestrianization of Tap Seac Square, constructing a garden, and planning the cultural and commercial new buildings in harmony with existing historical buildings. Because part of this avenue was integrated into the pedestrian area of the new square, the area under the square is used for car parking, and a tunnel for cars connects the two ends of Av. Conselheiro Ferreira de Almeida. The new square fully provides infrastructure for big open-air shows and events. The historical buildings that surround the square comprise the Macau Cultural Institute, Health Centre, Central Library, Historical Archives, Government Youth Centre, Schools, and a Sports Pavilion.
